theJoyLab is the leading platform for self-guided tours in Texas. We currently cover the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have plans to expand to Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and other smaller cities across the state.

Self-guided tours offer guests the freedom to arrange their own itineraries and leisure activities that fit their schedules, rather than being restricted to fixed times and durations that may prevent potential customers from purchasing these experiences.

These tours do not require availability checks or inventory management—they are accessible on demand, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no blackout dates, holidays, or "fully booked" issues.

Our platform offers guests a unique and well-crafted selection of tours and activities. Each program is based on an interactive map, and every tour features embedded media—such as images, audio, and video footage—that enhances the experience. This multimedia integration brings the professional tour guide's narration to life, creating a truly immersive adventure for our guests.

All our self-guided tours are packed with recommendations on where to eat, have a drink, enjoy a coffee, or treat yourself, highlighting local favorites. We feature small vendors, restaurants, bars, and shops that are conveniently located along the itinerary and are worth a visit. We frequently update these recommendations to keep up with changing trends.

With easy integration, you don’t need to change anything to sell our tours. Just send us an email with the booking information, and we will take care of the rest!

EASY Integration

  • 1 - Admission Purchase

    Guests purchase admission from a third-party vendor.
    The guest purchases admission from a third-party vendor (you). You generate a booking number (whatever number your system creates - XYZ) and display the following information on the confirmation page or in the confirmation email sent to the guests:
    Thank you for your booking the tour ...
    Please visit https://thejoylab.com/admission.html to access the experience.
    Confirmation Number: XYZ
  • 2 - Confirmation Email

    Third party vendor send us a confirmation email
    After the guest purchases their admission, please send us an email with the following information:
    - Product your sold
    Code or name: if you sell several products, we want to know which one you sold.
    - Booking ID: XYZ
    The booking ID created by your system, so we can create the same in ours.
    - Number of admissions sold:
    So we know how many admissions we need to create for the guest.
    Don’t worry about the format. Once we sign you up as a vendor, we will ask you for a sample email so we can set up our system to extract the information we need (the product, booking ID and the number of admissions sold).
  • 3 - Guest Access the Tour

    Guest follows thrid party instruction to access the tour

    Upon receiving your email, our system will parse the information to extract the product, booking ID and the number of admissions. We will then create the booking in our system. By the time the guest clicks on the link and arrives at https://thejoylab.com/admission.html, we will be ready to grant them access to the tour.
